**A Message from Our Sheriff**

Howdy Westerners,

I can’t believe that summer is almost behind us and fall is almost here. What a wonderful 250th Anniversary of our Declaration of Independence summer we’ve had.

The Prescott Rodeo Parade on the 4th of July, our Westerners History Symposium, The Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering and Doc Hollidaze just to name a few. And some rain too! Isn’t it great to live in a region that proudly celebrates its various cultures, history and patriotism?

Some important and fun days to remember in September include our Corral dinner meeting on Thursday the 3rd, Labor Day on the 8th, the solemn 25th Anniversary of 9-11 on what is now Patriot Day on the 11th, National Hispanic Heritage Month (Begins on September 15th), Constitution Day on the 17th, National POW/MIA Recognition Day on the 18th, and National Punctuation Day on the 24th (Please don’t check mine).

Please send your reservations in for our September 3rd dinner as early as possible. Our membership is growing and sometimes we are nearing maximum capacity for our venue. There may come a time when we won’t be able to allow late reservations or members showing up unannounced.
